William E. Lyles, MD

William Lyles, MD, MACG, was born in Mangham, Louisiana. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeast Louisiana University and received his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. Dr. Lyles completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee Memphis and later completed a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Florida in Jacksonville. Dr. Lyles is a fellow of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and has held several leadership roles with the American College of Gastroenterology Institute, including service on multiple committees and the Board of Trustees. Dr. Lyles has represented the American College of Gastroenterology on the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care Board of Directors. His professional honors include the ACG William D. Carey and the ACG Service Awards. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lyles serves as an adjunct professor and lecturer at Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, football, hiking the mountains of East Tennessee with his wife, Rhonda, and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
