I can't think of anything else that could have improved my trust or respect. Dr. Vismara explained my treatment options clearly and comprehensively. His careful and knowledgeable manner of consultation assisted us in making what we think is the correct procedure to handle my heart health problem.

Everything was very professional no need to change anything

Let the patient know what the appointment is for. What are you going to check during the visit. So you can dress appropriately for labs, ekg, take BP Rx, etc...

No. Everything was great

Nothing. It was a great visit. No complaints. Parking is an awful issue though. They have got to do something. The parking garage and lots were full. I had to park at emergency room and walk down the road to cardiology.

The nurse could be friendlier.
- 4 out of 5 starsReviewed on 1/17/2026
I know doctors and nurses are pressed for time and work efficiently to see all their patients, but often I feel rushed and forget to mention something. Encouraging patients to use MyChart to ask forgotten questions would are a huge benefit.

All was great

I can think of no way in which more support or trust could have been improved during my visit. I feel confident that I am in good hands at the Prisma Heart Hospital. And by the way, I realize that my responses in this survey might appear to be favorably biased, but I try to be honest in my answers to these kinds of questions. Recently, I engaged in a fairly sharp exchange with my car dealership because I did NOT rubber stamp a positive assessment of all of their questions. Prisma Health deserves a positive rating.

My concern ..... are the doctors really listening to the concerns of the Patient, or if they need to get on with the next waiting patient . I have felt that way before at appointments.. wondering if the doctors will begin to walk out the door. I truly listen to both my doctors and have appreciated them over the years. God Bless both of you.

I don't normally go to a doctor unless something is wrong with my health. This particular visit was to estabilsh a Cardiologist for my known heart diagnosis. I have learned that Physician Assistants are assigned to patients, I guess, initially. I was glad to at least be able to meet the Cardiologist. However, from a patients point of view, my view, this arrangement, with PA's, seems as if the patient is some one to practice on. As I said, to the PA, currently my condition is not bothering me, therefore this arrangement should suffice. The PA was very helpful answering my questions and I know I can read the after visit remarks on my portal. I don't completely understand why the arrangement is the way it is but I will deal with it.

Patience can often receive conflicting Rx/OTC from media outlets saying that convention drugs that reduce BP/Cholesterol (aka statins) are of no long-term medical value (for treatment or cure) It can also increase your chances of dementia (which had recently taken the life of my twin brother). Yet I see no kick back OR CLARITY from the medical community or big pharma about these claims. Should I stop these drugs?

I think I would have wanted more detailed going over labs and EKG. Sometimes I don't know what to ask but I would like to understand my current condition better.

Dr. V and his staff were very welcoming and caring. It was apparently a busy day as I had to wait 45 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment time. The front desk staff kept me informed so I was not left wondering about the appointment. The staff person that conducted the echocardiogram was caring and made sure I was comfortable during the procedure. I appreciated her caring and professionalism. I continue to be pleased with the Prisma Heart Center and staff. Kudos!

Availability of appointments could be improved. My first appointment was canceled(not by me) and I had to wait almost a month for another one.
