Susan Funk is an Advanced Practice Nurse who has worked with oncology patients for over 35 years, including roles in both the inpatient and outpatient settings as well as being a part of the original care team establishing stem cell therapy in Greenville. She is presently working as the Leukemia/ transplant nurse practitioner caring for patients undergoing autologous transplant, allogeneic transplants, including matched related, matched unrelated and haplotransplants as well as CAR T therapy. Susan is also involved in the survivorship needs of patients post-transplant, seeing patients in the survivorship clinic with a special interest in management of the complications of graft versus host disease and participates in donor screening for The National Marrow Donor Program.
Susan received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana in 1985, her Masters of Science in Nursing with Oncology specialization from Loyola University of Chicago in 1988, and her post Master’s Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the University of South Carolina in 1995. She is certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Acute Care Nurse PR actioner and as an Advanced Practice Oncology Nurse by the o
Oncology Nursing Society. Her professional affiliations also include the American Society of Transplantation and Cellular Therapies.
