Sophie Elizabeth Moore, PA

Sophie Moore, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant specializing in Orthopedics at Prisma Health. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, she completed her undergraduate studies at Newberry College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology. While at Newberry, she was a student athlete playing lacrosse on scholarship and also competing as a walk on tennis player. She later earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina.

With a passion for sports and lifelong activity, Sophie chose a career in sports medicine, where she works closely with athletes and active individuals seeking to return to play, maintain mobility, and pursue healthy, active lifestyles. Having played sports her entire life, she brings a deep personal understanding of the physical and mental dedication required to stay active and perform at one’s best.

Sophie believes strongly in the role physician assistants play as a bridge between the physician and the patient. She values the opportunity to spend meaningful time with patients, understand their goals, learn what motivates them, and guide them on a path that supports long-term health and mobility. She views herself as both an advocate and a collaborator helping patients get where they want to go and empowering them to lead active, fulfilling lives.

Outside of work, Sophie enjoys being outdoors, going to the gym, playing tennis and lacrosse, watching sports and supporting her younger brother, who plays collegiate lacrosse. Her personal commitment to healthy living mirrors the passion she brings to her patients every day.
