Shelia Fay Parnell, PA

Sheila Parnell is a physician assistant specializing in gastroenterology at Prisma Health. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, she earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Austin Peay State University and completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Presbyterian College in South Carolina.

In her gastroenterology practice, Sheila evaluates and treats a broad range of digestive disorders involving the esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, and intestines. Her clinical interests include reflux, cirrhosis, hepatitis and preventive care through colonoscopy education. She was drawn to gastroenterology for its diversity and the opportunity to integrate imaging, diagnostics, and long term management to help patients improve their daily quality of life.

Sheila is committed to patient education and specializes in breaking down complex medical information into clear, understandable guidance that empowers patients to make informed decisions about their health.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and singing at church.
