Selina Juarez, MD

Dr. Selina Juarez is a general surgeon specializing in surgical critical care and minimally invasive surgery. Raised in the Upstate, she earned her chemistry degree from Furman University and her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship at Prisma Health Upstate, followed by advanced foregut training at Allegheny Health in Pittsburgh.

Dr. Juarez cares for patients with both acute and elective abdominal surgical needs, including conditions affecting the esophagus, stomach, and intestines, as well as hernia repair. She is also trained in advanced endoscopic procedures and provides care for critically ill patients in the ICU.

She is passionate about treating complex patients and emphasizes open communication and shared decision-making, tailoring care to each individual.

Outside of work, Dr. Juarez enjoys spending time with her large Upstate family and exploring the local restaurant scene.
