Sarah Elizabeth Battle, MD

Dr. Sarah Battle is an infectious disease physician at Prisma Health. Her specialty focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of infectious conditions, including bacterial, viral, and fungal infections. Her clinical expertise includes the management of complex infections such as HIV and the appropriate use of antibiotics, as well as care for emerging infectious diseases, including COVID-19.

She approaches care with an emphasis on patient partnership, recognizing that patients and their families play a central role in treatment decisions and recovery. Dr. Battle finds fulfillment in guiding patients through serious illness, often starting in the hospital during acute illness and continuing follow-up in the outpatient setting, with the goal of restoring health and quality of life through sustained recovery and trust-based care.

Outside of work, she enjoys creative pursuits such as drawing, painting, and photography, which she uses as a way to unwind and express herself.
