Rebecca Ruth Kocak, DO

Rebecca Kocak, MD, is a cardiologist with Prisma Health specializing in cardiovascular disease, structural cardiac imaging and cardio-obstetrics. Originally from East Tennessee, she completed her internal medicine residency and general cardiology fellowship training with Prisma Health in Columbia, South Carolina. Dr. Kocak has a special interest in structural imaging, including transesophageal echocardiography used to guide advanced interventional cardiac procedures, as well as women’s cardiovascular health during pregnancy.

Drawn to cardiology for its innovation, evolving technology and opportunity to build long-term patient relationships, Dr. Kocak is committed to delivering personalized, compassionate care. She values open communication and believes understanding each patient’s goals and perspective is essential to providing the best possible treatment. Through both clinic and hospital-based care, she partners closely with patients throughout every stage of their cardiovascular journey.

Outside of work, Dr. Kocak enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, often exploring local hiking trails together. She also enjoys reading and music in her free time.
