About Natalie Murphy Bickley

Natalie M. Bickley, AuD, is a cochlear implant audiologist at Prisma Health in the Upstate. She graduated with her doctorate of audiology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2010 and her Master of Arts from the University of Tennessee in 2008. She received her Bachelor of Arts in communications from North Carolina State University in 2006. She completed her education as an extern at the Medical University of South Carolina.

While at the University of Tennessee, she researched unilateral hearing loss in pediatric patients. The article entitled Effects of Unilateral Hearing Loss on Speech-evoked Auditory Brainstem Responses and Reading-A Preliminary Study can be found in the American Journal of Audiology.

Since 2010, she has worked in several clinics in the southeast. She began her career practicing at Children’s Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she specialized in pediatric patients with hearing loss, including patients with cochlear implants. After she married, she and her husband moved back to the Charleston, South Carolina, area where she practiced general audiology at Charleston ENT. Once her husband finished his education and training, they moved to Roanoke, Virginia, where she again specialized in pediatric cochlear implants and sedated and non-sedated auditory brainstem response testing. While they loved the Roanoke area, the opportunity arose for her and her husband to move closer to family, bringing them to Greenville and joining Prisma Heath. She is currently specializing in the evaluation and programming of cochlear implants. She truly enjoys being a part of every patient’s unique hearing journey.
