Moinuddin Syed, MD

Originally from Hyderabad, India, Moinuddin Syed, MD, earned his medical degree from NTR university of Health Sciences in India, followed by internal medicine residency at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago and a cardiology fellowship at West Virginia University in Morgantown. He then completed two more fellowships, one in interventional cardiology at Boston University, Boston, and the other in vascular medicine and endovascular interventions at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Syed specializes in minimally invasive catheter-based treatment of patients with heart attacks and chronic chest pain related to coronary artery disease. He focuses on treating patients with peripheral arterial disease manifesting with claudication and chronic limb-threatening ischemia, including patients with non-healing wounds and ulcers related to compromised blood circulation to the legs. He is passionate about limb preservation and amputation prevention by adequately recognizing and treating peripheral arterial disease. He also specializes in carotid artery stenting, renal denervation for treatment of hypertension, renal artery stenting, venous disease management and treating patients with superficial and deep venous insufficiency with endovenous ablation techniques and deep venous stenting.

Outside of work, he loves spending time with his family, outdoor activities, cooking and traveling.
