Dr. Michael Gibbons is a South Carolina native, growing up outside of Columbia. He obtained his undergraduate degree from The Citadel, in Charleston, SC and medical degree at The University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. He then completed his general surgery residency at Prisma Health in Columbia, SC followed by vascular surgery fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Gibbons specializes in the management of arterial and venous vascular conditions, including aneurysmal disease, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial occlusive disease and venous disorders.

Staff was excellent. I walked in off the streets having some questions about wound care. The receptionist went back and talked to the doctor right away and the doctor and nurses agreed to see me right away. They were kind of professional treated my wound and put my mind at ease. Can't thank them enough.

My appointment was with one doctor; and although he came in to talk with me also, I had a feeling that I have been passed off to a new doctor in the vascular practice. I like the new doctor, but it would be courteous if I had been consulted if I was passed off. If I do not have a new doctor, everything is ok.
