I don't know how you could do better. Dr Mirra is an excellent surgeon. The nurses are kind and competent. I really can't think of anything you would want to change.

You could have offered follow-up instructions, reached out for an appointment, anything like that.

My general practitioner gave me a referral for general surgery, and when I came to the visit, Dr. Mirra acted as though it was not the right decision to send me to him. He did not ask for my medical history. He did not listen to my concerns. He was very vague and he was very sarcastic in why I was there. He then said that I was in the wrong place to call if I had an emergency and he said that I needed to go elsewhere for any diagnosis.

I felt that the surgeon was rushing around and didn't have time to answer my questions. He also did not even ask how recovery had been going or if I had concerns.

Change nothing. The staff and Dr. Mirra were kind and respectful.

I really don't know how you could improve. My care, and the way I'm treated at Prisma is beyond reproach. I'm very satisfied.
- 1 out of 5 starsReviewed on 11/15/2025
First of all I felt like i could have been treated like i was a patient and the way i was told about my condition was not right i felt like the doctor really didn't know me or what was wrong with me and that he didn't look over my notes that my doctor sent over to him so maybe i was not important enough

First time I met Dr. Mirra was the day before he was to do surgery on me. He is good at what he does and has a good bedside manner. My follow up appointment was equally as good as our first meeting. I give him 10 out of 10 marks for his professionalism and work. I have no hesitation about him performing surgery at any point in time.

I had a great experience. The staff was wonderful. Doctors were wonderful. I have zero complaints. I really don't know how you could have improved it other than packing it all up and coming to the house and doing it so I wouldn't have had to drive down there. Thank you. It was a wonderful time.

From this office and these people I cannot think of a thing, courteous, caring, kind, and knowledgeable made me feel like I was the only patient in the clinic at the time I cannot approve upon the Care they gave whatsoever.

Better explanation for why my second hernia was missed during surgery, because in my preop appointment I was told I had 2 hernias. Provider didn't seem to care that having a second hernia surgery is a major inconvenience with regard to cost, my time, and my ability to care for my young children. I will not return the I this office and will seek another provider in the future.

Dr. Mirra's staff was so very kind from check-in to discharge. I do need a copy of my receipt for my copayment. I sent a message to the office. Thus far, I have not received it by email. I feel like the message got lost somewhere.
