FemaleAbout Laura Mosby Carlson
Dr. Carlson is originally from Florida and moved to Greenville in the summer of 2018 after completing both residency and MFM fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She chose to join the faculty at Prisma Health to participate in full-spectrum MFM care in a hospital with strong missions that match her own: commitment to learners and commitment to provide care for high risk pregnant women.
Dr. Carlson's particular interests in MFM include patient education, genetics, perinatal mood disorders and management of maternal disease. She feels privileged to practice Maternal Fetal Medicine to be afforded not only the opportunity to care for growing families, but also to use pregnancy as a unique time to educate and motivate women for continued care for medical comorbidities for the future health of their families.

Nothing we had a great experience

Having self-pay rates be more transparent. I did not know until hours after my appointment what it would actually cost. I feel like the front desk/reception did amazing with the information she was given, but would have been much more confident had she had all the information.

We waited 45 minutes in the waiting room and then the appointment took 2 hours. The timeliness of the appointment was not appreciated.

Honestly everyone there was great including the security that sat at front entrance to building. The student got some great pictures that I wish I could of gotten copies of bc there was some great hand, feet pics and face pics. I got seen quickly even though I was early and the apt didn't take too long. Doc let me talk and ask questions that were kinda related but slightly off topic and she answered efficiently and helped with symptoms of the pregnancy without interrupting or seeming annoyed.

The only thing that felt slightly off was that doctor didn't seem to agree with my decision to not pursue genetic testing. She wasn't rude at all, nor did she argue back with me, but there was a clear overtone of disapproval. I can understand why she would support the testing, but the non-verbal communication was that she thought that was not the best choice.
