Katherine Marie Matthias, DO

Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Katherine Matthias, DO, is thrilled to have finally moved away from those cold northern winters! She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Dr. Matthias attended medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, where her training emphasized the unity of all the body’s systems. After medical school, Dr. Matthias moved south to complete her training through the Pediatrics Primary Care Track at the Medical University of South Carolina. She is board-certified in Pediatrics. She enjoys caring for newborns and giving advice to breastfeeding mothers, providing preventive care in the form of nutrition and exercise counseling, and treating patients with ADHD.

Outside of work, Dr. Matthias can be found hiking, camping, boating, practicing yoga or relaxing with her husband and young daughters. She also enjoys traveling internationally and has been involved in a number of medical mission trips abroad.
