Dr. Katherine McMillan is a gastroenterology specialist with advanced fellowship training in motility disorders and interventional endoscopy. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, she earned her medical degree from St. George’s University and completed her residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Macon. She went on to complete a motility and neurogastroenterology fellowship at Johns Hopkins, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at Prisma Health, and an advanced luminal endoscopy fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. McMillan provides comprehensive care for diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, and pancreas. Her clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and management of complex motility disorders such as achalasia and gastroparesis, as well as advanced endoscopic techniques including third-space endoscopy and endoscopic submucosal dissection for the minimally invasive treatment of early gastrointestinal cancers and other complex conditions. She combines highly specialized procedural skill with a patient-centered approach that emphasizes shared decision-making and individualized treatment planning.
Outside of work, Dr. McMillan enjoys spending time with her family and her young daughter, including time downtown and on Lake Lanier.
