Kaitlyn Allene Lillie Barr, MD

Dr. Kaitlyn Barr is a pediatric palliative care and pediatric complex care physician with Prisma Health. Originally from Athens, Georgia, she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency and fellowship training in palliative medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Barr specializes in caring for children with serious illnesses and complex medical conditions, working closely with patients and their families to navigate challenging diagnoses and treatment decisions. Her clinical expertise focuses on improving quality of life through comprehensive, compassionate care that addresses physical, emotional, and supportive needs. She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to help families manage the complexities of the healthcare system while aligning care with each patient’s goals and values.

Outside of work, Dr. Barr enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, son, and dogs, often visiting local parks and enjoying time in nature.
