Dr. Epling is a board certified diagnostic radiologist and joined Prisma Health in 2017 following several years in private practice. He completed a fellowship at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) specializing in Women’s Imaging. This was completed at the renowned Moores Cancer Center, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center with the radiology faculty of the UCSD School of Medicine, one of the nation’s top medical schools. The fellowship included advanced and comprehensive training in breast, obstetrical and pelvic imaging and imaging guided interventions. Dr. Epling is also board certified in Clinical Informatics.
Dr. Epling has held membership and leadership committee positions for the American College of Radiology, Society of Breast Imaging, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Medical Association and the South Carolina Radiological Society. His special interests include increasing breast cancer screening for both average and high-risk patients, participating in clinical trials for new medical devices/equipment and the use of health informatics in clinical practice. Additionally, he practices general diagnostic radiology and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI).
