Freda Yin, PA

Freda Yin, PA-C, is a physician assistant specializing in orthopedic trauma at Prisma Health. She works closely with orthopedic surgeons to provide comprehensive care for patients with acute musculoskeletal injuries, including fracture, dislocations and other traumatic orthopedic conditions.

Freda earned her undergraduate degree from Clemson University and completed her physician assistant training at Wake Forest University. She has a strong clinical interest in fracture care and is passionate about helping patients regain mobility and function after injury. Her role spans the full continuum of care – from emergency department consultations and inpatient management to postoperative follow-up and recovery planning.

Freda is committed to creating a supportive and reassuring experience for patients during what can often be an unexpected, stressful and life-changing time. She values clear communication, patient education and a team-based approach to ensure each individual feels informed and confident throughout their treatment journey.

Outside of medicine, Freda enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and finding meaningful ways to maintain balance while working in a fast-paced health care environment.
