Elizabeth Lauren Barton, MD

Dr. Elizabeth Barton is an internal medicine and pediatrics hospitalist with Prisma Health at Greer Memorial Hospital. Originally from Middle Tennessee, she earned her undergraduate degree from Furman University and her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville. She completed her combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Barton provides inpatient care for both adult and pediatric patients, utilizing her dual training to manage a wide range of acute and complex medical conditions. Her clinical expertise spans the care of hospitalized patients across the lifespan, allowing for a comprehensive and coordinated approach to treatment. She is particularly dedicated to caring for patients during vulnerable moments, focusing on delivering compassionate, high-quality care that supports recovery and alleviates suffering.

Outside of work, Dr. Barton enjoys spending time with her husband, working in the yard, relaxing on the porch with their greyhound, and exploring new restaurants in the Greenville area.
