Dottie Shepard is a native of Hendersonville, North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Winston Salem State University in Winston Salem, NC. After working as a Registered Nurse for 21 years at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem, NC, she went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from Carson Newman University. She is a board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Dottie joined the outpatient Prisma Health-Upstate Radiation Oncology team as a nurse practitioner in November 2024. In this role, she is seeing patients during and after radiation therapy. When not working, Dottie enjoys spending time with her daughter, Abby, family and friends.

Dr Shepard was very calming, a very nice lady. I felt better after seeing her, she even took me to see the radiation staff that worked with me. AAA+ Group of people.. Hope i dont have to see the again unless i go to visit.

Regarding my last visit I didn't feel as comfortable speaking with someone new, because I felt as this was my last visit it would have been nice to spend time speaking with current doctor or nurse. Thank you for all that is being done for all veterans
