Dr. Carrie Andrews is a child and adolescent psychiatrist with Prisma Health. A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, she earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed both her residency and fellowship training in child psychiatry at George Washington University and Children’s National Hospital.
Dr. Andrews specializes in the diagnosis and management of mental health conditions in children and adolescents. She works closely with patients, families, and community resources to develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that support each child’s emotional and developmental needs. Her clinical approach includes collaboration with families and integration of multiple therapeutic modalities to optimize outcomes.
With a background in early childhood education, Dr. Andrews is particularly focused on meeting children at their developmental level and communicating in ways that are accessible and meaningful to them. She emphasizes patient and family education as a key component of care, helping children and their families understand their conditions and actively participate in treatment.
Outside of work, Dr. Andrews enjoys reading, playing the piano, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family.
