Camille Edmunds, MD, joined Prisma Health Premier Women's Care in August 2023. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Dr. Edmunds first obtained her undergraduate degree in nursing from University of Wisconsin and then worked as a full-time registered nurse for a few years. Her passion for health care and medicine led her to the Medical College of Wisconsin for medical training. She then moved to the Southeast to complete her residency training in general OB/GYN at Wake Forest University School of Medicine/Atrium Health program in North Carolina. She is board-eligible in OB/GYN by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Special interests include fertility testing and education, gynecologic ultrasound, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She will offer robotic-assisted hysterectomies and excision of endometriosis at Prisma Health Baptist Easley Hospital starting in spring 2024. A big part of her passion for patient care is helping people understand how their bodies work, both in health and in states of disease.

To be monitored a bit more when I'm getting on or off the table. Everyone should be treated as if their an elderly person when it comes to assistance.

Have them teach other doctors and doctors offices how to take better care and listen to patients

I will not be returning to this facility due to the attitude and chill from Dr. Edmunds. The bedside manner of both the provider and the ultrasound technician were unprofessional and lacked compassion. I would not recommend this facility to any other woman who is hopeful and happy to be pregnant.

The staff and provider were great and helpful. I wish I'd known before going in that I can't have an annual check-up in the same appointment as a regular sick visit (because of my insurance). But I can't say that was the providers fault. It's the greedy insurance companies making it hard for everyone. Perhaps if medical providers who are forced to work under huge conglomerates via a monopoly, they could set more reasonable prices and patients wouldn't be forced to deal with red tape just to save their own lives. But I guess that's just not where the profit is. Maybe if our law makers invested more time in legislation that saved lives instead and taking away my right to save my own, I wouldn't have anything to complain about. Too bad this will be reviewed by AI and not a person, since employing people isn't popular with the monopolies these days.

The receptionist was extremely rude. Everyone else was wonderful. She was surly and uncommunicative and did not make eye contact. I couldn't wait to get out of the reception area.

The lady that checked me in was phenomenal. I wish she worked in every office I went to. The nurse who took my vitals was so sweet. I felt right at home. I saw this new doctor for the first time ever and I felt like I had known her my whole life. This was the best experience I have had for this type of visit. Thank you so much!!

I think Dr. Edmunds and her staff do a great job making you feel comfortable and I feel like I can trust them with any medical concerns. Everyone is very friendly and respectful.

I would have liked to have had more than 15 minutes to discuss my medical issues. I was hurried along through the process, so it would have been better to have had a longer window of time. 15 minutes is not enough.

Dr. Edmunds is wonderful and I cannot say enough positive things about the care she has provided me. Providing constructive feedback, the nurse that roomed me on this visit seemed very rushed, may be given my late afternoon appointment. I told her I was being seeing for excessive bleeding after having my tubes removed. Within seconds, she asked if I used birth control and before I could answer, she says, "oh yeah, you have an IUD. I spoke up to correct her saying that was removed along with my tubes a couple months back. She apologized and acknowledged me just telling her that. She was clearly in a hurry. Durning my visit, the provider let me know she was ordering some labs to see if that gave any indication to why I was experiencing the symptoms that I was. We came out of the exam room at 4:34 to be told the lab employee was no longer there and leaves at 4:30. Dr. Edmunds was extremely apologetic that I would have to come back the next day for my lab draw. If I could suggest any room for improvement, it would be to have a lab employee available during the entirety of your office hours. Having to drive 35-40 mins one way the following day just for labs is a huge patient dis-satisfier.
