Allen Kenney, PA

Alan Kenny, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant with Prisma Health Orthopedics, bringing a strong background in emergency medicine and orthopedic care. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, he worked as a paramedic, gaining extensive frontline experience in acute patient care. He later attended the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, where he completed the Physician Assistant Program.

In his current role, Alan helps provide specialized after-hours orthopedic care for the community. This service addresses injuries such as falls, ankle sprains, and sports-related injuries—conditions that may require more specialized orthopedic evaluation than what is typically available in a general urgent care setting.

Alan’s commitment to patient-centered care is deeply personal. Having been diagnosed with a degenerative hip disease at a young age, he experienced firsthand the impact that compassionate, knowledgeable healthcare providers can have on a patient’s life. That experience inspired him to pursue a career where he could provide the same level of care and support he once received.

He places a strong emphasis on patient education and communication, believing that one of the most important responsibilities of a healthcare provider is to connect with patients as individuals. Alan works to ensure that each patient not only receives clear medical information but also leaves the clinic with a genuine understanding of their condition and treatment plan.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Alan enjoys spending time with his wife, Hannah, and their two children. Much of their family time is spent outdoors and staying active painting, riding bikes and enjoying the many adventures that come with raising young boys.
