Susan Reece Cheek-Williams, CNM

Susan Cheek-Williams, CNM, is a certified nurse midwife with Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina. She joined Prisma Health in 1998 and worked as a staff nurse in labor and delivery until 2011, when she began practicing as a certified nurse midwife. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2009 with a master's degree in nursing and in 2012 with a doctorate in nursing practice from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Cheek-Williams has a special interest in education and anticipatory guidance during pregnancy. She believes that women who are better prepared for pregnancy and birth have less fear of the normal process and therefore have more satisfying birth experiences.

She spends her free time with her husband, Josh, trying to keep up with their young son.
