Mark Robinson, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist. He received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, completed his internship at the University of Virginia School of Medicine Roanoke-Salem in Salem, and completed a residency in ophthalmology at Georgetown and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He completed his neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at Dean McGee Eye Institute/University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Robinson practices ophthalmology and his clinical interests include medical management of glaucoma, ophthalmic public health issues, optic neuropathies, visual field defects, diplopia and idiopathic intracranial hypertension. He enjoys teaching the art of ophthalmology to residents and medical students.

My appt was for 3:30 pm but I was not seen until about 4:30 pm.

Registered for 1:30pm appointment. Noted area emptying out by 2:30 and new group of patients coming in and being called. Checked at the desk and apparently my registration was not completed. Nursing staff was not informed that I was there. Of course the individual doing registration must know they have completed the process.. Also desk personnel might survive the waiting area and note someone sitting too long. Left the facility at 4:27pm

My last 2 visits I waited more than an hour in the exam room to have the Dr see me after the nurses had finished with the preliminary eye exam.

It was a long visit. The waiting was long. Other than that, the employees was fine. The doctor was fine. But the waiting was just too much.

I felt respected, supported and trusted everyone. The only thing I would change would be how long it took for me to complete the appointment. I checked in at 3:15 and did not leave until 6:30.

The time of my appointment was two hours after I finally saw the doctor. So we're there, I would say, for a suggestion is don't overbook people. And if they have a 9 o'clock appointment, make it if they see the doctor at 9 o'clock.

Don't let your patients sit for 1 1/2 hours wondering when they will see the doctor. I never did see the doctor that my appointment was with. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment time which was 2:30. I left after 5 with dilated eyes and total darkness. I told the Dr that I hadn't driven at night for years so I was a little worried about driving home. No response.

Our appointment was at 2:30. Got called to the back about 3:15, however we didn't see the dr until after 5:00. I had to come out of the rm and ask were we still gonna be seen.

The wait time to see the doctor is too long. I waited 2-3 once taking to the exam room to be seen by the doctor. It is very hard to get in contact with the doctor and his care team. I sent a message through my chart 2-3weeks before the appointment and no one has got back to me yet.

The wait time was ridiculous. Whoever books their appointments should be fired. Even the doctor told me I should find a provider closer to my home because of the long wait times in this office. I was there over 3 hours for an eye exam. That's unacceptable.

Dr. Robinson is one of the best doctors in Columbia. He is never in a hurry and listens to my every word. Y'all are fortunate to have him on your staff. He has been my doctor 10 years. I trust him completely. The office is always clean and the employees have been trained well. I look forward to my visits.

It means something to dissolve, so they won't have to dissolve the tumor. They could have described a pill or something to dissolve the tumor, but it can't do the blood work.

Two techs saw me & the second one repeated some of the same tests/ procedures as the first one did which I find redundant & possibly double charging. I realize that hands-on is the way to learn; however, it seems to me that techs could go in together to observe & take turns doing hands on learning; thereby cutting down on inconveniencing the patient by having to wait so long to see the doctor.
